Problem the startup solves:
In light of the increase in Instagram/ Facebook/ Shopify or TikTok shops, it’s important to feel at ease when buying from other small businesses.
Revifide operates an open concept offering customers the chance to express their experiences by posting a review about their interaction with a small business. We believe in the power of community and open transparency when shopping online.
Progress and Current Status:
We are progressing very fast. From idea to launching a live website has taken us 3 weeks. This included hiring developers from overseas and building out the website functionalities. We’ve built all of our socials and landing page ourselves, and we have already started collecting reviews and speaking to customers and small businesses. We currently have a landing page for reviews submission to gain excitement for our official launch date.
What is an Inspiring Story about the Startup?:
We had a friend recently who found a makeup artist for her wedding day via social media. However, we were shocked at the price that she was charged and the level of unprofessionalism.
At the time we saw ‘Scam-MUA’ trending all over TikTok, and we saw other young girls sharing the same experience with other makeup artists they too found via social media.
When I looked up the business, I saw no trail of a government company record or social proof from other purchases. There was no going to the financial ombudsman to claim the money back that my friend was owed! This gave us the idea for Revifide. We had not yet seen a reviews website dedicated to social media businesses. As the rise of TikTok and Instagram shops was on the rise, we knew this would be the perfect time to launch a reviews hosting platform dedicated to small social media businesses.
What is a Company the Startup Looks Up to, and Why?:
Apple would be the bar setter, even though they operate in a different industry to Revifide there are a few lessons we could learn from their success. Having recently read Steve Jobs’s biography, if there was one thing to take away it would be to be able to create a seamless user experience. As Revifide grows, we want to explore ways to make navigation feel easy and only one click away from their next action.

The go-to reviews website for businesses, reviewers, and readers. We want to create an open and honest community to facilitate experience sharing. Our goal is to bring interaction and value to all members of our community, including helping new businesses grow with review sharing. We’re very focused on mining the data we collect from reviews, and then presenting this data for everyone in our community to use.
